Brian Henderson

Brian joins us as President and Chief Operating Officer of our Des Moines office. Brian graduated from Iowa State University with his B.S. in Chemical Engineering over 15 years ago and immediately began working in the private sector. He has invested his career in working for the world’s largest privately held chemical company, during which time he learned all facets of manufacturing and business workings. He earned his way from Process/Project Engineering to Plant Manager and understands what it takes for a business to be successful, ensuring company owners and shareholders profitable returns from their investments.

His experience includes managing hundreds of millions of dollars annually in capital expenditures and operating costs, as well as managing a grass-roots plant startup in India and performing due-diligence for corporate purchases. Brian’s ability to manage people and complex situations has prepared him well to offer the multitude of services The Henderson Business Group provides for a successful business transaction.

Jennifer Blazka

Prior to joining Henderson Business Group, Jennifer was an entrepreneur for 15 years.  She started and successfully operated 2 service oriented businesses in Omaha.  She has a wide breadth of experience and a desire and passion to help other entrepreneurs succeed in realizing their image of “The American Dream”.   “I believe my life experience as an entrepreneur and the knowledge I have acquired since joining Henderson Business Group will lead to positive experiences for both buyers and sellers.”

She is currently taking real estate classes at Larabee School of Real Estate and will take the Nebraska Real Estate License Exam in March 2008.

Wendy Wortmann

Prior to Henderson Business Group Wendy was an Account Executive for Vertice, a subsidiary of Wachovia for three years. In the wholesale lending division, she was responsible for managing/growing accounts with an active pipeline of 5 million to 10 million dollars month to month. Wendy learned that communication is a very important key to success when there are many people involved in a business transaction and earned respect and loyalty from her clients by listening to their needs and finding solutions for them.

Wendy earned a B.A degree in Business Administration from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. During her four year education she was successful on the Women’s track team earning a two-time National Champion and 11-time All-American status. She is also a licensed real estate agent.

Dennis Huffine

Dennis joined the team at The Henderson Business Group bringing over 20 years of management and consulting experience in the Managed Healthcare and Insurance Services industries.  He has a proven history of professional service, working with small to medium businesses in many industries.  He owned and operated a full service vocational counseling service business for over eleven years.  Dennis has worked with hundreds of businesses, analyzing and implementing solutions for issues ranging from staffing to cost containment.

Dennis earned his Bachelors’ Degree from the University of Iowa in Psychology and Masters Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.  He is working toward obtaining his Nebraska Real Estate license.  The life experiences Dennis brings to The Henderson Business Group equip him with the ability, desire and passion to put prospective buyers and sellers of small businesses together for a complete and successful transaction.

Working in the downtown Los Angeles market, I exclusively leased, developed and marketed a 500,000 square foot high rise international trade center, and coordinated the two-year due diligence process when this facility was sold to a major New York Investment House.

The Newport Beach, CA resort residential market presented an opportunity to redevelop and reposition Lido Peninsula, an existing waterfront two-story mobile cottages and adjoining marina slips by improving services, upgrading tenants and increasing the asset’s financial performance.

Working for CA’s #1 top selling Self Storage Broker in a cottage industry, I researched over 3,000 properties statewide, getting to know the developers, sellers and buyers as I helped packaged numerous properties from San Francisco to the Mexican border for marketing in this highly competitive niche market.

Beginning in 2001, I managed and marketed twelve grocery-anchored retail centers located in five Midwestern states, including CO, TX, SD, WY and NE.  This opportunity has given me a working knowledge of the rural NE markets as well as the Denver to Colorado Springs corridor, and El Paso, TX market dynamics. 

I have successfully listed and marketed an Omaha area 100,000 sq. ft. office complex leasing over 35,000 square feet to one firm, the largest lease in this market during 2007. I listed and developed the marketing plan for five office condominium locations in Omaha, NE, sold numerous free-standing buildings, marketed and leased prime retail locations, leased office space to many professional firms, defense contractors and retailers.

Judy Dooley has been in sales for nearly half her life.  For over 16 years she worked for a snack and candy broker here in the Midwest.  She is very familiar with both large and small business owners and corporations via her wholesale experience.  In the last 6 years she has practiced real estate in the state of Nebraska and looks forward to assisting sellers in the transition of selling their business.

Tim McCormack

Tim was born in Omaha, schooled at Cathedral, Creighton Prep, Rockhurst College in KC (MS degree) and a Masters of Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Tim started his first business when he was thirty years old and he likes to say he received a masters degree from the school of hard knocks, just like many of you successful business owners.  Tim knows business from the inside-out.

 

On his resume, Tim states he has been a successful paper boy, teacher, school principal and business owner who sold 12 of his own businesses. For those people who are in the franchise business, Tim understands what this business is all about as well. Tim was instrumental in launching a franchise startup having written the FDD and the Franchise Agreement as well as putting together the operations manual, after which, Tim sold this businesses 1st franchise.  Tim is a person who brings a variety of experiences to your company when you are looking to sell your business or franchise. He is a Rainmaker, a person who can make good things happen for you and your business. Deborah Taylor has joined the Henderson Business Group – Omaha office to provide Administrative Support to the professional staff. She brings many years of experience working in various Executive Administrative and Relocation Coordinator positions at Fortune 500 companies in Omaha, Nebraska and Denver Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from the University of Bellevue, Bellevue, Nebraska. She will be assisting in the day –to-day office operations in the Omaha office location.
